    Interesting. Most emerging markets have held up well during this correction.

    Probably not that simple. It is worth considering the political situation, the valuation and what the currency might do.

    You should also look at trade balance, inflation and what the economic forecast is looking like. A big current account deficit can be a harbinger of a crisis.

    Still it is a good point that many things bounce back. Several emerging markets are up nicely in the last week or two. Not all will keep going up – Russia for example is for the truly brave.

    It’s interesting how often a good year follows a bad year. Is it just a simple matter of picking the worst three markets of the previous year and then investing?
